6.2.2 Shortening the length of the tubes
After all adjustments have been completed, the excess length of the tubes
can be shortened:
1) Mark the saw cut on the tube with a pencil. Maintain an overhang of
50 mm for tube attachment.
2) Remove the tube and clamp it in a vice without deforming the profile.
3) Saw off the tube at the marked location.
4) Smooth and deburr the sawed edge with a file.
5) Remove the tube stopper from the sawed-off tube piece and insert it in
the new tube end.
7 Use
7.1 Using the product
The product is installed and adjusted by qualified personnel.
Before using the product, verify that it is securely mounted and in an ergo­
nomically correct position. Inform the qualified personnel if corrections are
required.
7.2 Use in vehicles for transporting persons with reduced mobility
WARNING
Improper use in vehicles for transporting persons with reduced
mobility
Severe injuries to the user or third parties due to flying components
► The product may not be used to position the passenger during trans­
portation in a vehicle for transporting persons with reduced mobility.
► The product has to be removed from the wheelchair or seating shell
mobility base and safely stowed in the vehicle during transportation in a
vehicle for transporting persons with reduced mobility.
