NOTE
• Specifying only Point A results in repeat playback between Point A and the end of the Song.
• When you want to repeat from the top of the Song to a specified point in the middle:
1. Press the [A-B REPEAT] button, and then start Song playback.
2. Press the [A-B REPEAT] button again at the ending point (B).

Practice the specified range by playing the keyboard along with the Song
repeatedly.
After your practice, press the [A-B REPEAT] button to turn it off.
Specifying the repeat range while Songs are stopped
1. Fast-forward the Song to Point A by using the [RR] (Fast forward) button, and then press the [A-
B REPEAT] button.
2. Fast-forward the Song to Point B, and then press the [A-B REPEAT] button again.

Recording Your Performance

You can record your performance and save it as a MIDI file (SMF format 0) to the User drive or USB flash
drive. Since the recorded data is MIDI, you can independently record the right- and left-hand parts, or re-
record a specific section and edit other settings (such as Voice) after saving the data.
NOTE
• Audio data such as the sound input from the [MIC INPUT] and [AUX IN] jacks, etc. cannot be recorded to the MIDI Songs. If you want
to record such data, use the USB Audio Recorder function (page 75).
• Before using a USB flash drive, be sure to read "Connecting USB Devices" on page 91.
Recording All Parts at a time (Quick Recording)
This simple method lets you start recording immediately without specifying the parts or channels you want
to record to. For Quick Recording, each part will be recorded to the following channels.
• Keyboard parts: channels 1 – 3 (Main: channel 1, Left: channel 2, Layer: channel 3)
• Style parts: channels 9 – 16

Make necessary settings such as turning on the desired PART ON/OFF button and
selecting the desired Voice, etc.

Press the SONG [REC] button and the [R/K] (Play/Pause) button simultaneously.
A blank Song for recording is automatically set. A blank Song for recording is automatically set,
and the Song name on the Main display (page 23) is set to "New Song."

Press the [REC] button.
The [REC] and [R/K] (Play/Pause) buttons flash, indicating the standby status.
NOTE
If you want to cancel recording, press the [REC] button before going on to the next step.
