programmed panel conditions, the panel settings can
be changed manually as desired. However, since
these changes will not be written to memory, the
next time this step is executed, the data will be read
out in its original form.
If the PROG S T E P s w i t c h is held down continuous-
ly for longer than 0 . 5 s e c , the machine will operate
in the S K I P mode, and the S T E P NUMBER will ad-
vance continuously. When the PROG S T E P s w i t c h
is released, the data in the current step will be read
out, and the panel conditions will be set up accord-
ingly. A BNC terminal is provided on the back panel
to enable external control of the PROG S T E P switch.
This can be controlled by the T T L level w h i c h , when
set to " L " , advances the step count by 1 . This con-
trol can be accomplished using a foot switch or other
device.
NOTE 1 : The Program READ mode will not operate when
all the steps are set to " S K I P " .
NOTE 2: T h e PROG S T E P control terminal on the back

3. Program Settings
There are one hundred possible program steps, numbered
1 through 1 0 0 . In the Program W R I T E mode, the step
number advances one step at a time, from 1 to 100, each
time the PROG S T E P switch is pressed. After Step 1 0 0 ,
the next step returns the counter to Step 1 .
In the Program R E A D mode, the steps from 1 to 1 0 0 are
divided into 5 B L O C K S containing 2 0 steps each. Each
time the PROG S T E P s w i t c h is pressed, the step num-
ber advances one step at a time within the current block.
