2. Cursor Measurement
4 V 1 :
By selecting C H 1 of the V E R T I C A L MODE © and
V 1 of the C U R S O R S © , t w o horizontal cursors
are displayed on the C R T , and voltage difference
between the t w o cursors is calculated based on
setting of the C H 1 V O L T S / D I V @ and displayed
in the upper right of the C R T . If the C H 1 V A R I A -
B L E © is not set to the C A L position, voltage ra-
tio is displayed.
Move cursors to positions to be measured with
the z l R E F © and A ©.
AMI:
By selecting C H 2 of the V E R T I C A L MODE © and
AMI of the C U R S O R S © , voltage difference or
voltage ratio between cursors based on setting
of the C H 2 V O L T S / D I V © is displayed in the up-
per right of the C R T , similarly to ziV1 meas-
urement.
AV3;
By selecting C H 3 of the V E R T I C A L MODE © ,
with C H 2 unselected, as well as 4 V 1 of the CUR-
S O R S © , t w o horizontal cursors are displayed,
and voltage difference between the cursors cal-
culated based on setting of the C H 3 0 . 5 V / 0 . 1 V
® is displayed in the upper right of the C R T .
AV4:
By selecting C H 4 of the V E R T I C A L MODE © ,
with C H 2 unselected, a s well as A\/2 of the CUR-
S O R S © , voltage difference between the cursors
c a l c u l a t e d
b a s e d on
0 . 5 V / 0 . 1 V (26) is displayed in the upper right of
the C R T .
AT- MAT:
When the AT- MAT s w i t c h is pressed, the LED
lights and the machine enters the AT mode. When
the s w i t c h is pressed again, the machine enters
the MAT mode and, when pressed a third time,
the L E D goes off and the C U R S O R mode is dis-
enabled. Pressing the s w i t c h after moving from
the MAT mode to zlV1 or ,dV2 gives the MAT
mode.
AT:
By selecting AT of the C U R S O R S © , t w o verti-
cal cursors are displayed on the C R T and time
difference between cursors calculated based on
the s w e e p scale factor in the lower right of the
C R T is displayed in the upper right of the C R T .
If the S W E E P TIME is not the C A L condition, time
ratio is displayed.
1 /AT:
By selecting 11 AT of the C U R S O R © , t w o verti-
cal cursors are displayed on the C R T and frequen-
c y between cursors calculated based on the
s w e e p scale factor in the lower right of the C R T
is displayed in the upper right of the C R T . If the
S W E E P T I M E is not the C A L condition, phase
difference is displayed.
T R A C K :
When the T R A C K switch is pressed, the LED goes
on and the machine enters the T R A C K I N G mode.
When the s w i t c h is pressed again, the LED goes
off and the machine enters the normal C U R S O R
mode. T h e T R A C K I N G LED goes off if the cursor
measurement is turned off while the T R A C K I N G
mode is O N , but the T R A C K I N G mode is re-
enabled if the cursor measurement is turned on
again. In the T R A C K I N G mode, ZlREF control
cause ZlREF and ^ c u r s o r to move simultaneous-
ly and in parallel (i.e., cursor measurement value
remains a s i s ) . If either 4 R E F or ^ c u r s o r comes
setting

to the edge of the monitor, movement cannot pro-
ceed any further. Using the A control, zlcursor can
be made to move independently
measurement value changes). If the
s w i t c h is pressed while the C U R S O R mode is
" O F F " , the LED lights for 1 second, then returns
to the original state, indicating that this mode is
invalid.
[6] CURSOR MEASUREMENT
1. A\J Cursor Measurement Mode with V E R T I C A L M O D E
S w i t c h e s ©
The AVI to z i V 4 cursor measurement modes are select-
ed depending
on setting
switches © s h o w n below. For example, if the channel-2
single-trace is selected under the condition where C H 1
of the V E R T I C A L MODE © and AW\ of the C U R S O R S
MODE (27) have been selected, the cursor measurement
mode changes from Z1V1 into A\/2 automatically. If an
unselectable cursor measurement mode is selected, the
LED of the mode keeps lighting for approx. 1 second and
then the previous state is restored.
In the cursor measurement mode z i V 1 , order of the ver-
tical mode priority is C H 1 , C H S , and A D D . In the cursor
measurement mode A\/2, the order of priority is C H 2 and
C H 4 . T h e cursor measurement mode is set to that of
higher priority.
