is selected, A V 2 is used for voltage
difference and voltage ratio measurement
of the X-axis. T h u s , vertical cursors are dis-
played.

{AVI
AV2)
When A V 1 and AV2 are pressed simultaneously,
the machine goes into the program write mode.
Once in the program write mode, the clock display
on the monitor disappears and the " S T E P - W 1
R U N " indicator displays. If AVI
pressed simultaneously again, the program write
mode ends and the machine returns to the original
state.
{AT • 1 /AT)
If the AT-1 /AT switch is pressed, the LED lights and
the machine enters the AT mode. When the switch
is pressed again, the machine enters the VAT mode
and, when pressed a third time, the LED goes off and
the machine enters the CURSOR OFF mode. After
going to A V 1 or AV2 from the 1/AT mode, pressing
the A T - 1 / A T switch will enable the MAT mode.

T w o vertical cursors are displayed on the C R T .
Time difference and time ratio of these cursors are
displayed posterior to the cursor measurement
mode in the upper right of the C R T .
Time difference
is measured, if the
V A R I A B L E control © is set to the C A L position. A
value calculated according to setting of the S W E E P
T I M E / D I V control © is displayed posterior to the
AT. Time ratio is measured if the S W E E P V A R I A B L E
control © is not set to the C A L position; a value
calculated supposing 5 div. as 1 0 0 % is displayed
posterior to the R A T I O .
If the Acursor is on the left of the A R E F cursor, a
negative { - ) value is displayed.

T w o vertical cursors are displayed on the C R T . Fre-
quency between these t w o cursors and their phase
difference are displayed posterior to the cursor
measurement mode in the upper right of the C R T .
Frequency is measured, if the S W E E P V A R I A B L E

T R A C K :
When the T R A C K I N G s w i t c h is pressed, the LED
goes on and the machine enters the T R A C K I N G
mode. When pressed again, the L E D goes off and
the machine enters the normal C U R S O R mode. If
the cursor measurement is turned off while the
T R A C K I N G mode is ON, the T R A C K I N G LED goes
off; however, the T R A C K I N G mode is re-renabled
if the cursor measurement is turned on again. In
the T R A C K I N G mode, A R E F control cause A R E F
and Acursor to move in parallel (i.e., cursor meas-
urement value remains as is). If either A R E F or Acur-
sor comes to the edge of the monitor, movement
of both is halted. Acontrol allows Acursor to be
moved independently (i.e., cursor measurement
value changes).
A T • 1/AT + T R A C K :
When the A T • 1/AT and T R A C K s w i t c h e s are
pressed simultaneously, the machine enters the
Program Readout mode. In the Program Readout
mode, the monitor clock display disappears and the
" S T E P - R 1 " display lights up. When the A T • 1 / A T
and T R A C K s w i t c h e s are pressed simultaneously
again, the Program Readout mode ends, and the
machine returns to the original state.
© A R E F / D E L A Y POSITION Control
Shifts the reference cursor (fine broken line) of the t w o
cursors displayed on the C R T in the cursor measurement.
Clockwise rotation shifts the cursor up or to the right.
Counterclockwise rotation shifts it down or to the left.
In the delayed s w e e p mode, this control is used for mov-
ing the delay position a s well a s counting with the T R I G
COUNT.
NOTE: T o display the delay time and delay count value
in the delayed s w e e p mode, deactivate the cur-
sor measurement mode selector s w i t c h e s .
Rapid rotation of this control knob may cause im-
proper operation. T h u s , rotate it slowly.

Control
Shifts the measurement cursor (rough broken line) of the
t w o cursors displayed on the C R T in the cursor meas-
urement. C l o c k w i s e rotation shifts the cursor up or to
the right. Counterclockwise rotation shifts it down or to
the left.
NOTE: Rapid rotation of this control knob may cause im-
proper operation. T h u s , rotate it slowly.
© HORIZONTAL MODE Switches
Selects operation modes of the horizontal axis. Pressing
a switch turns on its LED, which indicates that the switch
is selected.
A :
Activates the A s w e e p only.
A INT B: Increases intensity of a B s w e e p portion on A
sweep waveform. Intensity of the A sweep and
B s w e e p is controlled with the A INTEN/ PULL
B INTEN © .
