User Manual for
MP180
ID-nr 2020-246-000-3
We hope that you find this new multi-
planer both useful and fun to work with.
In order to ensure smooth operation,
please consider the following.
IMPORTANT!
General
Check the planer as soon as it is
delivered. Any transport damage shall
be immediately reported to the
transport company.
* DO NOT LIFT THE DEVICE BY ITS
TABLE(S) OR OTHER
COMPONENTS.
If it needs to be lifted, it is most
appropriate to lift underneath the
machine frame.
* Do not use the table as bench
surface.
* When replacing spare parts, use only
original parts and note that all electric
components
must be installed by a professional.
The device has an electronic brake
The brake pulses during the braking
period,
which causes a pulsating sound.
The braking will continue for a few
seconds after the machine has
stopped.
Poly-V-belt cutter drive
When starting, the poly-V belt may
make a short-lasting whistling sound.
This is completely normal.
Space needs
The device needs a space of at least
2m width. The space length
requirements depend on the length of
the workpieces to be planed. The
minimum length is 3 m but it is
recommended that it is at least 4 m.
Anchoring
For maximum safety, the machine
must be anchored to the floor with
screws. Screw diameter 8-10 mm.
Storage
The machine must be placed in a dry
area, as it is not fully protected against
corrosion. If the machine is placed in a
cold area for an extended period of
time, its unprotected components, such
as tables or cutters, must be lubricated
with plenty of e.g. paraffin. It is also a
good idea to cover the device for
additional protection against corrosion.
If the machine is supposed to be
placed outdoors, its unprotected
components must be covered and
lubricated with anti-corrosive agents.
Application
The machine can be used for jointing
and planing of wood, particle board,
fibreboard etc.
Materials that are difficult to process,
such as particle board, teak, etc.,
require cemented carbide steel.
It is not allowed to plan plastics,
aluminum or other harder materials
without previous adjustments.
The machine is designed for indoor
use.
