TROUBLE SHOOTING CHART
Make sure the Safety pages in this manual have been read and are understood by all personnel involved.

TROUBLE
PROBABLE CAUSE
SPEEDMULLOR®
Problems with power supply to the Speedmullor
WON'T RUN
Speedmullor® not energized properly.
Gear case lubrication system clogged or failed
Speedmullor® is overloaded.
MOTOR
Excess sand dropping into the Speedmullor®.
OVERLOADING
Incomplete discharge because of small receiving hopper.
Incomplete discharge because of faulty door operation.
Bowl bottom dirty.
Sand under crosshead because of worn, bent or broken
underside plows.
Plows are touching bowl bottom or side liners.
Worn bearings.
Wrong lubricant.
TROUBLE
PROBABLE CAUSE
GEAR CASE
Motor overloading or problem with lubrication or
OVERHEATING
procedures.
Too much oil or too little in gear case.
Wrong lubricant in gear case.
Recommended oil change interval not followed.

DO NOT attempt to ENTER or reach into the machine or to perform
any servicing or repairs UNLESS THE MACHINE HAS BEEN PUT IN
ITS ZERO MECHANICAL STATE (ZMS), as instructed in this manual.

Use correct starting procedure. See Sections 3 through
6 in this manual.
Check lubrication pump; check condition of other system
components such as no flow switch, filters and strainers.
See Section 14
Eliminate cause of overloading. See following "Trouble".
Use proper procedure. See Section 3.
Use proper procedure, suitable hopper. See Section 13.
Repair and/or adjust door and linkage. See Section 13.
Use proper preventive maintenance procedures to keep
the bowl bottom clean. See Section 15.
Repair or replace plow(s). See Section 8.
Adjust plows. See Section 8.
Replace bearings. See Section 7, 9 and 14.
Change gear case oil. See Section 14.
REMEDY
Refer to causes and remedies associated with the
preceding troubles.
Drain or add oil to correct level. See Sect. 14 and 15.
Change gear case oil. See Section 14, chart 17A
Use correct oil change intervals. See Section 14.
