TOOL

A tool kit is provided with your ATV. It
is located under the seat.

BATTERY

The battery is located under the seat.
This battery is sealed type battery
and requires no maintenance of fluid
level and gravity. But have your dealer
check the charging condition of the
battery periodically. To remove the
battery, loosen the bolts 1 and
remove the bracket 2.
If the battery is discharged, recharge
the battery. The standard charging
rate is 0.9A × 5 to 10hr and the maxi-
mum charging rage is 4.0A × 1hr.
WARNING
Hydrogen gas produced by batter-
ies can be hazardous.
Batteries
hydrogen gas which can explode
if exposed to flames or sparks.
Keep flames and sparks away
from the battery. Never smoke
when working near the battery.
CAUTION
Exceeding the maximum charging
rate for the ATV battery can dam-
age your ATV.
If you charge the battery at a rate
too high, it will decrease the life of
the battery.
Never exceed the maximum charg-
ing rate.
CAUTION
Reversing the battery lead wires
can harm your ATV.
Reversing the battery lead wires
can damage the charging system
and the battery.
The red lead must go to the (+)
positive terminal and the black (or
black with white tracer) lead must
go to the (–) negative terminal.
