Adjust the holding position of the thread hook ❻ .

Release the switch ❸ of solenoid valve.
10. Temporarily tighten setscrews ❼ .
11. If setscrews ❼ moves to the direction A, the thread hook ❻ moves to the direction C, and if it moves to
the direction B, the thread hook ❻ moves to the direction D. Adjust the position of the thread hook ❻ by
moving setscrews ❼ so that the clearance between the thread hook ❻ and the center of left needle ❹
is 6 to 7 mm.
(Caution) Carry out adjustment with thread hook ❻ shifted to the right by its backlash.
12. Tighten setscrews ❼ at a position that setscrews ❼ is pressed against to the direction E (anti-operator's
side).
(Caution) If setscrews ❼ are not tightened with pressed in direction E (anti-operator's side),the
thread hook ❻ release failure (the hook fails to return to its standby position) can
occur.
13. Return the thread hook ❻ to the standby position.
Release the switch ❾ of solenoid valve by pressing it.
(Caution) When depressing the motor pedal or operating the looper thread trimming device in
the state that the thread hook does not return to the standby position, the thread hook
❻ comes in contact with the looper ❺ or the lower knife of the looper thread trimming
device. As a result, the thread hook breakage may occur.
