The time has come. Your first experience on your own City! Whatever bike ride you do, your safety comes first! If it is your first time cycling on a Huka tricycle, you may have to get used to it. The most important tip we can give you is that you have to relax as much as possible while cycling.
  • Page 11: Boarding And Cycling

    • The City is largely made of steel, which is considered non-combustible. The other materials used, such as plastic, rubber and so on, are not fireproof. • Wear a suitable bicycle helmet and reflective clothing to increase visibility on the road.
  • Page 12: Brakes

This reduces the risk of falling. Cycling with pedal assistance If your City is equipped with pedal assistance, the electric motor is activated as soon as you start pedalling. Pedalling then becomes lighter. When you stop pedalling, the pedalling assistance stops as well.
  • Page 13: Battery Indication

When you release the '-' button, the walking aid will stop driving immediately. Battery indication If your City is equipped with pedal assistance, the display will indicate how full the battery is. Check whether the battery is full when you travel (longer) distances.
  • Page 14: Product Description

Product description Your City consists of several parts. The most important are described in this chapter. Bicycle frame The City's frame consists of a tubular metal construction complemented by aluminium and stainless steel components. Most of the metal parts are phosphated and then provided with an impact-resistant powder coating.
  • Page 15: Spokes

With a good chain tension, your City will pedal lightly and you will not hear the chain. If you notice that the chain is too slack, have it adjusted by your Huka dealer.
  • Page 16: Crankshaft, Crankset And Pedals

    • Various (modified) pedals are available as an option. Gears If your City is equipped with gears, there is a gear hub between the pedals and the drive shaft. This is an 8-speed Nexus hub from Shimano, which is tailored to the City.
  • Page 17: Mudguards

The carrier is made of steel. There are several possibilities to carry the luggage. Ask your Huka dealer about this, so that the right materials can be used and the whole thing can be assembled safely. With a City with electrical assistance, the battery-pack is mounted under the carrier.
  • Page 18: Electric Pedal Assistance

Electric pedal assistance The City can be equipped with electric pedal assistance. The bike is equipped with an electric motor in the front wheel, a battery pack and an electronics box at the rear side.
  • Page 19: Accessories

Accessories Your City can be expanded with various accessories. Think of trunk support, footrest, bags etc. More information can be found on the price list on our website or contact your Huka dealer. Securing components It is important that crucial components of the bike are properly secured.
  • Page 20: Optimal Use

Optimal use When you deliver your new Huka, the parts have been adjusted to your body and to your wishes. To make sure you are comfortable, there are adjustment possibilities for the saddle and the handlebars. Adjusting the saddle depth 1.
  • Page 21: Adjusting The Handlebar Height

    2. Pull or push the handlebar to the desired height. Make sure that the stem remains in the frame enough, so that the safety marking ''MIN'' is not visible. 3. Tighten the stem bolt again securely according to the specified torque on page 19. www.huka.nl/en...
  • Page 22: Adjusting The Handlebar Angle Stem

ADVICE FROM TONNIE Sometimes the stem is very tight and cannot be moved even when the stem bolt is unscrewed. Take a plastic hammer and hit the stem bolt once. This will shoot down slightly, after which the handlebar will be loose. Adjusting the handlebar angel stem 1.

Always make sure you inflate the tyres properly. This prevents wear and tear on your City tyres. It is also a more pleasant ride and you will be able to react better to braking and steering movements. The correct pressure is achieved when you can press the tyre with your thumb.
  • Page 24: Best Maintenance City

Optimum riding comfort is created by maintaining the bike properly. In this chapter we show you how to do this. We also advise you to have your Huka dealer carry out the annual maintenance. They will check the City for functionality, safety, and possible wear and tear.
  • Page 25: Bonding

Bonding Did you find out that one of the City's tyres is flat? Your Huka dealer can of course fix it. But if you want to do it yourself, here are the instructions: You will need: a repair kit (with tyre levers, glue, stickers and sandpaper), a jack, scissors, a bicycle pump and a bucket of water.
  • Page 26: Spokes

Can the brakes not be adjusted or does the City still not brake well? Have them checked and adjusted by your Huka dealer. If your City is equipped with a hydraulic disc brake on the rear wheels, it is a closed system filled with brake oil and cannot be adjusted. A not well functioning rear brake indicates worn brake pads or air in the brake system.
  • Page 27: Lighting

The rear light of the City is switched on by pressing the black button on the rear light once. By pressing it twice, the light will blink a few times and the automatic is switched on. The automatic light switches on automatically in the dark in case of movement.
  • Page 28: Battery Charging

Replacement of components Is your City broken or do components need to be replaced? We advise you to have this done by your Huka dealer. This will prevent the factory warranty from expiring.
