BPH-100 Post Hole Digger
DANGER: Stop engine, lock parking brake and remove key before performing any
service or maintenance.
Never rely on the tractor lift system. Place blocks or stands under the Post Hole Digger to
prevent it from falling, causing serious injury or death.
Always use personal protection devices, such as glasses or gloves when performing mainte-
nance on the Post Hole Digger.
Good maintenance is your responsibility. Poor maintenance is an invitation to trouble.

Make sure there is plenty of ventilation. Never operate the engine of the towing
•
vehicle in a closed building. The exhaust fumes may cause asphyxiation.
•
Always use the proper tools or equipment for the job at hand.
•
Use extreme caution when making adjustments.
•
After servicing, be sure all tools, parts and service equipment are removed.
•
Where replacement parts are necessary for periodic maintenance and servicing, genuine factory
•
replacement parts must be used to restore your equipment to original specifications. The manufacturer will
not claim responsibility for use of unapproved parts and/or accessories and other damages as a result of
their use.

Shear Protection:
The 5/16"x2-1/2" Hex Bolt connecting the PTO shaft to the gearbox is a shear bolt. If the auger encounters a
hard object, such as large rocks or concrete, the auger could lock up and stop rotation. The auger bolt is
designed to shear off to prevent damage to auger or gearbox.
In the event the auger bolt shears, check the auger and gearbox for damage. Replace damaged parts with OEM
parts only!
Warning: Never replace the shear bolt with a bolt harder than a GRADE 2 bolt. This can
damage the implement and void the warranty. It is advisable to replace the shear bolt with
an OEM shear bolt. Contact your dealer for the correct replacement bolt.
