need to replace PTO drive shaft, how do I install the new shaft to the tiller. Got a different tractor and the shaft is too short. Do I just remove the snap rings to the U joint to fit the shaft on?

To install a new PTO drive shaft on a Tar River TXG Series tiller, follow these steps:

1. Park the tiller on a level surface.
2. Back the tractor (Category 1) so the lift arms align with the tiller’s lower hitch points. Ensure the area is clear.
3. Slide and adjust the lower hitch blocks if needed for larger tractors.
4. Secure each lift arm using a 7/16” lynch pin or similar fastener.
5. Connect the PTO driveline to the tractor’s PTO output shaft and secure it.
6. Connect the tractor’s top link to the upper hitch point of the tiller.
7. Start the tractor and slowly raise the tiller.
8. Check for interference with the drawbar and ensure the PTO driveline does not bottom out when fully raised.
9. If it bottoms out, shorten the PTO driveline as needed.
10. Ensure at least 1/3 overlap of each driveline profile in working position.
