Using the # character in the /etc/motd banner might cause SSH connectivity problems. The #
character might interfere with the scripts used in Cisco MNM. If you encounter problems
using SSH with the installation of the CEMF Crypto Add-on package and the SSH entry in
the /etc/services file, try removing the motd banner.
Do not use special characters, such as %, $, #, @, and &, in the SSH password because the
CEMF Crypto Add-on package does not support these special characters for the SSH
password.
Depending on your server, it might take 10–30 minutes for the Cisco EMF startup processes to
complete. A relatively longer startup might occur if your database is new or has been reset.
