C h e c k your line voltage before use. T h e oscilloscope voltage r a t i n g appears
on the back of the set. I f your line voltage i s different from the oscilloscope's
r a t i n g , there is a danger of malfunctioning. Y o u should plug i n the cord only
after m a k i n g sure that the two voltage ratings are the same.

T h e oscilloscope i s equipped w i t h internal components that are h i g h l y charged
electrically. F o r your o w n protection, do not for a n y reason remove the s e t ' s
c a s i n g .

Use this oscilloscope indoors.
T h i s oscilloscope i s designed for indoor use only. Do not use i t outdoors. I f
it i s used outdoors, w a t e r penetrates into the oscilloscope through the v e n t
holes w h e n i t r a i n s or snows, causing short c i r c u i t , electric shocks, e l e c t r o -
cution or other dangerous accidents.
4.
Do not lock the vent holes.
Do not place this oscillocope close to the w a l l , other instruments or the l i k e .
Do not place any object on this oscilloscope. I f the vent holes of the c a s i n g
are blocked,
the temperature inside the
resulting i n the possibility of smoke, fire or other accidents.
5.
Do not use the oscilloscope i n the following locations.
# I n direct sunlight.
# I n e x t r e m e l y hot a n d / o r h u m i d areas.
® I n areas affected by high levels of mechanical v i b r a t i o n .
# A r o u n d areas w i t h strong lines of magnetic force or impulse voltage.
# A place w h e r e explosive gas or vapor is produced or stored.
6.
M a k e sure that the voltage applied to each input terminal does not exceed the
m a x i m u m amounts specified.
A C H I , C H 2 and E X T . T R I G input terminals: 8 0 0 V p - p or 4 0 0 V ( D C + A C p e a k )
A Z . A X I S input terminals: 8 4 V p - p or 42 V ( D C + A C p e a k )
Moreover, do not under a n y circumstances apply voltage to the output t e r m i -
nals from e x t e r n a l power sources.
