casing so that no air pockets can develop in the pump, which requires under circumstances de-aerating of the
pump.
Under no circumstances the float with the cable must be thrown into the medium, since correct switch is only
possible with a rotational movement of the float around the mounting point of the cable. Possible consequences in
the event of non-compliance are flooding (the pump does not start)/destruction of the pump due to dry run (the
pump does not switch off).
When using separate floats for start of the pump, stop of the pump and alarm the switch levels have to be chosen
as described above. The alarm float should switch approximately 10 cm above the switch point of the pump,
however always below the input.
Important: After each change of the mounting of the float a correct function of the float switch must be checked
with a test run.
Automatic float switch for alternating current version (AC)
To change the reacting distance loosen the clamping screw (no. 900.03) at the anchoring clip (no. 732.02). By
extending the end of the cable between the anchoring clip and the float (no. 838.45) the reacting distance is
increased, by shortening it is respectively reduced. To ensure proper function of the float, the cable length
between anchor clip and float chamber must be minimum 10 cm. To change the switch level the guide pusher
(no. 732.03) is moved on the housing profile.
Float switch for wire rope coupling
Pumps without float switch can be provided later with an original float switch for wire rope coupling. The electrical
connection is carried out by intercoupling the float switch between the power socket and mains plug of the pumps.
If the float cable is installed later, fix it on the pump according to the desired switch distance and the switch level
on the pump, the ascending pipe or another fixed installed point. Under no circumstances the float with the cable
