IMPORTANT:
Separate pressure and temperature transducers monitor the pressure and
temperature to the gun and prevent operation outside of operator pre set
limits.
The A and B components are constantly in recirculation through the gun
chamber which creates the following advantages:
• Stable pressure and temperature control.
• Maintains a clean orifice in the gun.
• Maintains the gun block temperature.
The gun is hydraulically operated and electrically actuated by the trigger
switch. A proximity switch is located in the end of the hydraulic cylinder
to signal the PLC that the gun is actually open.

The hydraulic power pack is the prime mover for the pour gun and
provides the pressure to open the gun and the hydraulic flow required for
repetitive shots. It is the accumulator that actually opens the gun while the
power pack recharges the accumulator; therefore, it is essential that the
accumulator be properly serviced at all times. It is recommended that the
accumulator be charged to 50% (1200 psi) of the operating pressure.
The hydraulic system is protected by an over-pressure switch factory set to
2800 psi increasing and a low-pressure switch factory set to 1500 psi
decreasing. Further protection is a provided by a temperature limit switch
in the hydraulic reservoir, factory set to 160°F
It is essential that the hydraulic system be properly serviced at all
times.
