4.19 Memory

To remove a memory module:
1.
Disconnect power from the system
CAUTION:
To ensure that memory modules are not damaged during removal or installation, power off the workstation
and unplug the power cord from the AC power outlet. Wait until the LED on the back of the power supply turns off
before removing memory. If you do not unplug the power cord while installing memory, your memory modules might
be damaged and the system will not recognize the memory changes.

Gently push outwards on the socket levers 1.
3.
Lift the DIMM 2 straight up and remove it from the unit. Store the DIMM in an anti-static bag.

Contains four memory slots for DIMMS
Supports 256MB–4GB configurations
Supports dual-channel DIMMs

4.19.2 Memory Module Requirements

CAUTION:
HP only ships DIMMs that are electrically and thermally compatible with this product. Because third-party
DIMMs might not be electrically or thermally compatible, they are not supported by HP.
NOTE:
DIMMs and their sockets are keyed for proper installation. Be sure these guides line up when installing DIMMs.
Use only industry-standard, unbuffered, PC2-4200 (533MHz) or PC2-5300 (667MHz) DIMMs
