Introduction
Introduction
This section introduces the Model C200/C240 to a Model C360 upgrade.
Upgrading your Model C200/C240 to a Model C360
Your upgrade kit contains a C360 CPU Board, which, when installed,
upgrades your Model C200/C240 to a Model C360.
NOTE:
Installing this upgrade in your Model C200/C240 does not affect the regulatory and
safety classifications or approvals. The upgraded system meets all of the regulatory
and safety standards listed in Appendix A of your original owner's guide.

Installation Prerequisites

Before upgrading your Model C200/C240 to a Model C360, your current
system must be running HP-UX 10.20 or greater with Additional Core
Enhancements (ACE) 9806 for Workstations (June 1998) and IPR 9812.
For optimal performance, use HP-UX compilers from August 1998 or later.
NOTE:
Your system may have less than optimal performance if it does not have the latest
version of the sched.models file. Use the command
swlist -l product | grep PHSS
to list the software patches on your system. If your system contains any of the patches
PHS_7816, PHS_10878, PHSS_12694, PHSS_15712 you need to update the file
/opt/langtools/lib/sched.models with PHS_16688 from IPR 9812.
Some early shipments of the C360 Upgrade Kits contain a special edition CD ROM,
C360/PA 8500 Upgrade Board Compiler Patch/HP-UX Diagnostics (p/n 5011-
4451), which contains the patch PHS_16688 (supersedes PHSS_15712) and
diagnostics released with IPR 9812 and later software. If you have this CD ROM in
your kit install the software for optimal performance of your system.
