Upgrade Instructions Overview
The general steps for performing the upgrade are outlined as follows and
should be performed in the sequence listed. Refer to the individual sections
of this guide for the actual step-by-step procedures for upgrading the C200/
C240 to a C360.
1 Prepare your workstation
Verify that you have the correct version of HP-UX.
Determine and WRITE DOWN the LAN ID of your system. You may need
to re-enter it in the new system board.
Power off the workstation and any peripherals.
Unplug the power cords and disconnect any peripheral cables.
Remove the floor stand.
2 Remove the main tray assembly.
3 Remove the C200/C240 CPU board from the main tray assembly.
4 Place the C360 CPU board in the main tray assembly.
5 Transfer the memory modules from the C200/C240 CPU board to the C360 CPU
board.
6 Place the new main tray assembly into the workstation chassis.
7 Affix the new regulatory sticker to the pull-out card.
8 Connect power cords and cables, restart the workstation, and enter the LAN ID if
prompted.
