Installation Considerations
The installation, operation, and maintenance of the product should be performed only by qualified,
competent personnel that have received appropriate training for high voltage and current devices.
◼ During normal operation of the product, hazardous voltages are present on the terminals that
connect PT/CT, digital inputs, power, and external I/O circuits. The PT/CT secondary can produce
lethal voltage or current caused by the energy of the primary.
◼ Standard safety precautions should be followed during the installation and maintenance of the
product, including removing PT fuses and shorting CT secondaries.
◼ Install the product in enclosures or a similar cabinet to prevent access to the terminal strips of
the product after wiring.
