When closing the lens cap, be sure to press in the
button, return it to its original position, and lock it.

EASY CAM ERA R ECORDING
WITH FULL AUTO
Before record ing a special, one-time-only scene,
p lease make a test recording to make sure that
everything is set p roperly.
For easy, "p oint-and-shoot" record i n g , slide the
FULL AUTO switch to ON. This selects auto focus
i n g , auto exposure, auto white balance, and the
standard 1 /60-second shutter spee d .

Hold the camcorder as shown.
Put your hand through the grip strap and adjust
it until your fin gers can easi l y touch the zoom
button and L E N S SELECT button , and yo u r
thumb i s resting o n t h e R E C START/STO P
button .

Pop off the l e n s cap and secure it as show n .

Tu rn the POWER switch t o CAMERA.

Turn the STAN DBY switch to the STA N D BY
positi o n .

Slide the F U L L AUTO switch t o O N .
(Full Auto indicator lights . )
The camcorder i s now i n the Standby mode.

Press the REC START/STOP button .
" R E C " appears in the viewfi nder. The cam
corder i s now recording.

To pause (to stop momentari ly), press REC
START/STOP agai n .
" II - - - -" appears i n the viewfinder. The cam
corder is in the Stan dby mode agai n .
To stop, turn the STA N D BY switch to LOCK, or
turn the POWER switch to OFF.

AND BY switch , you can turn the power on
and off with your thumb when shooting.
