♦ Before using the product for the first time, clean the
parts that will come into contact with food in the manner
described in the cleaning section.

Filling with water:

♦ You must fill the water compartment before turning on
the appliance.
♦ Before filling the tank, make sure the appliance is
unplugged from the mains and the control knob (B) is in
the OFF position.
♦ Open the safety cap (A) by turning counterclockwise.
♦ Fill the tank with cold water.
♦ Fill the deposit taking care to observe the MAX level.
♦ The maximum capacity is equal to the carafe filled to
the 4 coffees mark, and the minimum is equal to the 2
coffees mark in the carafe.
♦ Close the cap, turning clockwise, until reaching the
locked position.
Filling with Coffee:
♦ Remove the filter holder.
♦ Insert the filter for ground coffee.
♦ Fill the removable filter with ground coffee using dosing
spoon.
♦ Use the tap to gently flatten the surface of the coffee, not
to tighten.
♦ NOTE: The Filter indicates measurement for two or four
cups.
♦ ATTENTION: The ground size is very important. ME-
DIUM ground size should be used, as for "Italian/Moka
type" coffee makers. You cannot use too fine ground
coffee (NOT ground for espresso). Too fine ground
coffee can cause overpressure.
♦ Check that the removable filter is correctly placed in the
filter holder.
♦ Replace the filter holder in the appliance.
♦ Place the filter holder in the coffee set inserting it from
below the set into the insertion position and turn it coun-
terclockwise until it is in the locked position.
Use:

MAKING COFFEE

♦ Connect the appliance to the mains.
♦ Put the jug on the tray
♦ Turn the appliance on, by using the Control Knob (B).,
turning it to coffee position (K).
♦ The pilot light (C) will illuminate.
♦ After about 2 minutes, coffee will start to flow.

♦ Once you have obtained the desired amount of coffee,
turn the control knob (B) to the OFF position (L).
♦ The indicator will turn off and the coffee will stop
dispensing
♦ The coffee is ready.
♦ You can take out the jug.
ATTENTION:
♦ Do not leave the appliance unattended during operation
♦ Before removing the filter holder, or removing the cap
from the boiler, make sure there is no pressure left in the
coffee maker.
♦ To do this, make sure the Control knob is OFF and the
machine is cooled down.
♦ Once cooled and the pressure is released, the filterhold-
er (G) and the safety cap (A) can be removed.
FROTHING MILK / MAKE CAPUCINO
♦ You will get a cappuccino when you top up a cup of
espresso with frothing milk.
♦ Method:
♦ Make coffee first according to the section "MAKING
COFFEE".
♦ To make cappuccino, you'll need to fill the tank with more
water than if you use only for coffee.
♦ Once the coffee is made, we are going to heat and froth
the milk.
♦ Fill a jug with the desired amount of milk for each cap-
puccino to be prepared, it is recommended to use whole
milk at refrigerator temperature (not hot!).
♦ Note: When choosing the size of the jug, it is recom-
mended diameter not less than approx. 70 mm, and bear
in mind that the milk increases in volume, make sure the
height of the jug is enough.
♦ Turn the control knob (B) to the STEAM position (M), the
indicator (C) will light up.
♦ After about 2 minutes, the steam will come out of the
foaming device.
♦ Introduce the frothing device into the milk about two
centimeters.
♦ Foam the milk by moving the container up and down.
♦ After the milk is frothed, turn the control knob (B) to
the OFF position (L) to stop frothing. Then remove the
carafe and keep the control knob on the OFF position.
♦ Note:
♦ Clean the steam outlet with a damp sponge immediately
after it stops generating steam, taking care not to burn
yourself.
♦ You can only open the safety cap (A) after releasing
