Maintenance

To ensure a safe and proper operation and a long lifetime of Floor Stand S, a regular visual and
functional check of Floor Stand S is recommended.
It should include the following points:
− cleanliness and intactness of housing
− secure seat of tilting head, stemi mount and microscope
− securing screws present and tightened
− ease of motion of traverse, suspension arm and tilting head
− function of adjustment screws / levers (adjustable ease of movement and locking function)
− intactness of wheels incl. wheel stops
To ensure your microscope is optimally set and also operates correctly over an extended period of time,
we recommend that you conclude a service / maintenance contract with ZEISS.
6.3

Service

All work requiring intervention in mechanical, optical or electronic components inside Floor Stand S or
your stereo microscope may only be performed by ZEISS Service or other qualified personnel specifically
authorized by ZEISS.
