    Freezer chest We thank you for the confi dence you have shown by purchasing our appliance. We wish you fi nd a lot of pleasure in its use. The appliance is intended solely for household use. The freezer chest is intended for use in household, for freezing fresh food and long-term storage of frozen food (up to one year, depending on the type of food).

    Before using the appliance for the fi rst time • This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or metal capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
  • Page 4 The appliance is fi tted with a condenser unit which radiates heat into the environment. The condenser unit is installed on the back wall, directly underneath the sheet metal layer of the back and front wall of the appliance. During normal operation, these surfaces are warm.

    Advice for saving power • Install the appliance as specifi ed in the instruction manual. • Do not open the appliance cover ore often than necessary. • In models with condenser units on the back wall of the appliance, check occasionally to make sure that air circulation behind the appliance is indeed unobstructed and that the condenser unit is always clean (see section “Troubleshooting”).

    Food storage time in • In case of a fault in appliance operation or power supply case of fault or power failure, do not open the freezer chest. If the appliance is out of failure order for more than two days, empty the freezer and use the food or make sure it remains frozen.
