5-10 Onboard Indicators

LAN Port LEDs
The LAN ports are located on the rear I/O
panel. On each Gb LAN port, one LED
blinks to indicate activity while the other
may be green, amber or off to indicate the
speed of the connection. See the table
on the right for the functions associated
with the connection speed LED.
IPMI Dedicated LAN Port LEDs
In addition to the Gigabit Ethernet ports,
an IPMI Dedicated LAN is also located
above USB ports 0/1. The amber LED
on the right indicates activity, while the
link LED on the left indicates the speed
of the connection. See the table at right
for more information.
BMC Heartbeat LED
A BMC Heartbeat LED is located at
BMC_HB_LED1 on the serverboard.
W hen this LED is blinking, B M C
functions normally. See the table at
right for more information.
Rear UID LED
The rear UID LED is located on the rear
of the serverboard. This LED is used in
conjunction with the rear UID switch to
provide easy identification of a system
that might be in need of service.
