    OPERATIONS Operating The Riding Trowel To utilize your Allen Engineering MSP445X Rider to its fullest capacity the machine should be driven in the direction the operator is facing. This will finish the widest possible area while giving the operator an excellent view of the slab surface about to be troweled. When the machine reaches the end of the slab make a 180 degree turn and repeat the straight line of direction to the other end of the slab.
  • Page 36 Trowel Operation SECTION 2 OPERATIONS Steering the Riding Trowel A slight “feathering motion” forward and backward with the left hand joystick is required to move the machine in a straight path to the left. The same feathering motion is required of the left joystick to move to the right.

This can unbalance the trowel arms and cause the riding trowel to wobble during operation.
