Installing a BNC Connector
5. Remove the alignment guide, and center punch the marked spot (if you do not have an
automatic center punch, use the countersink drill bit and a small hammer).
6. Cut the foam tape into four pieces (each three inches long).
7. Remove the backing from the foam tape and stack the strips (make sure you leave one
adhesive side exposed).
8. Stick the tape to the inside of the rear panel, directly behind the punched indentation
and against the side of the fan.
NOTE
The foam keeps metal chips out of the instrument.

4. To keep out metal chips, mask the fan opening and the lower edge of
the rear panel with paper and masking tape.

4. Tape a piece of plastic (supplied) across the top of the instrument
from the rear panel forward. Make sure the hole in the plastic sheet sits above the
location you will drill. The plastic keeps metal fragments from flying up into the
instrument.
11. Place the top cover over the portion of the instrument still exposed.
