INSTALLING DAMPER CLAMP ACCESSORY FOR
VENTED OPERATION
Note: When used as a vented indoor appliance, appliance
must be installed only in a solid-fuel burning fireplace with
a working flue and constructed of noncombustible material.
For Massachusetts Residents Only: Installation of this gas
log set as a vented indoor appliance in the Commonwealth of
Massachusetts requires the damper be permanently removed
or welded in the fully open position.
You must install the damper clamp accessory (to order, see
Accessories, page 23). This will insure vented operation (see
Figure 8). The damper clamp will keep damper open. Instal-
lation instructions are included with clamp accessory.
See chart below for minimum permanent flue opening you
must provide. Attach damper clamp so the minimum perma-
nent flue opening will be maintained at all times.

panel. This will insure adequate air flow and
guard against sooting and controls being dam-
aged. Raise fireplace floor with noncombustible
material. Make sure material is secure.
