[Rec] Mode:
Taking Pictures that Match the Scene Being
Recorded
When you select a Scene Mode to match the subject and recording situation, the camera
sets the optimal exposure and hue to obtain the desired picture.
In Recording Mode touch [
Touch [
Touch the scene mode to set.
The page can be changed by touching [
Touching and holding the scene mode icon will display a
description.
It will be set when you release your finger.
It will not be set when you move your finger to the position
where there is no icon, and then release your finger.

Scene Modes can be changed by touching [
The following items cannot be set in Scene Mode because the camera automatically adjusts
them to the optimal setting.
[Sensitivity]/[Macro Mode]/[i.Exposure]/[Min. Shtr Speed]/[i.Resolution]/[Color Mode]

[Portrait]

When taking pictures of people outdoors during the day, this mode allows you to improve
the appearance of the persons concerned and make their skin tones look healthier.
∫ Technique for Portrait Mode
To make this mode more effective:
1 Press and hold down the zoom lever as far as possible to Tele.
2 Move close to the subject to make this mode more effective.
