Recording Mode:
Taking Pictures that Match the Scene Being
Recorded
When you select a Scene Mode to match the subject and recording situation, the camera
sets the optimal exposure and hue to obtain the desired picture.
Touch the Recording Mode icon in Recording Mode.
On the Recording Mode list screen, touch [Scene Mode].
Touch the scene mode to set.
Touch [OK].
Note
Scene Modes can be changed by touching [Scene Mode] from the menu screen.
The following cannot be set in Scene Mode as the camera adjusts automatically.
[Sensitivity]/[Macro Mode]/[i.Exposure]/[Min. Shtr Speed]/[i.Resolution]/[Color Mode]

[Portrait]

When taking pictures of people outdoors during the day, this mode allows you to improve
the appearance of the persons concerned and make their skin tones look healthier.
∫ Technique for Portrait Mode
To make this mode more effective:
1 Press and hold down the zoom lever as far as possible to Tele.
2 Move close to the subject to make this mode more effective.

[Scenery]

This allows you to take pictures of a wide landscape.
