Memory Support

The SBI-7127R-SH blade module supports up to 512 GB of RDIMM and 128 GB of
UDIMM DDR3 1600/1333/1066/800 MHz speed, 32GB, 16GB, 8GB, 4GB, 2GB and
1GB size SDRAM memory in sixteen (16) 240-pin DIMM sockets. See

Hard Disk Drives

The SBI-7127R-SH blade unit accommodates up to two 2.5" SATA/SAS/SSD hard disk
drives, which are mounted in drive "trays". The drives can be hot-swapped and removed
or replaced without powering down the blade unit they reside in. The two drives can be
used to set up a RAID array (RAID 0 or 1) or JBOD. These drives use a blue color for
the Blade HDD active LED. See
Caution: To maintain proper airflow, both hard drive bays must have drive carriers inserted
during operation whether or not a drive is installed in the tray.
WARNING: Enterprise level hard disk drives are recommended for use in Supermicro
