ClearScan™
ClearScan™ per forms a fre quency scan of the fac tory-defined
and any set-up user-programmable groups in or der to find the
group with the high est num ber of clear re ceive chan nels. Af ter
about 20-30 sec onds, the group with the high est num ber of
clear re ceive chan nels will be dis played. The next best group
and so forth may be ac cessed with the [DOWN] and [UP]
arrow but tons.
•
Press and hold [MENU] + [SET] for three sec onds to en -
ter ClearScan™. The base sta tion will now start search ing
all groups for the ones with the great est num ber of re -
ceiver chan nels clear of in ter fer ence.
•
ClearScan™ will dis play the group that has the most in -
ter fer ence free re ceive chan nels. These clear chan nels are
dis played on the right half of the screen. Press [SET] to
place the base sta tion on this group and re turn to the op er -
at ing screen. The first four re ceive chan nels dis played
will be the ones set for the group. The [UP] / [DOWN]
but tons may be used to se lect the next best group and so
forth.

To achieve the best re sults quickly when us ing ClearScan,
please com plete the fol low ing for set ting up a sin gle BTR-800
sys tem:
•
Turn off all wire less in ter com and wire less mi cro phone
equip ment.
•
Turn on all wire less mi cro phones and wire less mon i tor
trans mit ters. Make sure that this equip ment is dis trib uted
at least 3 to 5 feet apart from each other to minimize any
fre quency intermodulation ef fects.
•
Turn on one TR-700/800/825 and per form the ClearScan
func tion as descibed on page 7-18 and 7-29 of this man -
ual.
•
When the first re sult is dis played on the TR, write this
down along with the next 6 or 7 re sults. This num ber rep -
re sents the spe cific BTR trans mit ter that should pro vide
the best re sults for op er a tion. This is re ferred to as the
"Group".
•
Once you have re corded the first 6 or 7 re sults from the
TR, turn off the TR unit.
•
Turn on the BTR-700 OR BTR-800 and per form the
ClearScan func tion as de scribed above. The re sults of the
BTR will pro vide the num ber of "Chan nels" or TR trans -
mit ters that can op er ate in a given group.
•
Since you have al ready es tab lished the best BTR Group
(base sta tion trans mit fre quency) to op er ate on, se lec tion
of the op er at ing chan nels is now much eas ier.
•
Sim ply match the num ber of TRs to op er ate on your sys -
tem with the first and best "Group" num ber that you have
re corded.
•
When you have scrolled to the ap pro pri ate Group num ber
that dis plays the num ber of beltpacks to be used on the
sys tem, simpley press [SET] on the BTR to place the BTR
on the se lected Group and Chan nel.
•
Fi nally, go back to the TRs and pro gram to the ap pro pri -
ate Group and Chan nel.
