1. Remove battery cover from the back of the RMT-8HDS-IR remote. 2. Verify that dip switches 1 & 2 are in the down (OFF) position. 3. Insert the battery, hold the battery so that you can see the positive side facing up. The side that is not marked must be facing down. - Page 11 The DVI to HD-SDI Pro can be controlled via the RS-232 port on the rear of the unit. Please refer to the Communication Protocol for Gennum VXP Products on Gefen’s website at: http://www.gefen.com/kvm/support/download.jsp. FIRMWARE UPDATE PROCEDURE Connect your computer’s RS-232 (serial) port to the RS-232 port on the DVI to HD-SDI Scaler Pro using a male to female, straight pin-to-pin RS-232 cable.
