If you are not sure of the type of power supplied to your location, consult your video dealer or local power company. For products intended to operate from battery power, or other sources, refer to the operating instructions.
Important Safeguards 17. Camera Installation: Cameras are not intended for submersion in water. Not all cam- eras can be installed outdoors. Check your camera environmental rating to confirm if they can be installed outdoors. When installing cameras outdoors, installation in a sheltered area is required.

Rear Panel (LH070 Series) USB: Connect the wireless receiver (included). VGA: Connect a VGA monitor (not included) to view the system interface. HDMI: Connect to an HDMI monitor or TV (not included) to view the system interface. LAN: Connect to a router (not included) using the included Ethernet cable for local and remote connectivity.
Basic Setup (LH070 Series) 5.1 Step 1: Connect the DVR to the Docking Stand (optional) The DVR can be positioned in an upright, vertical position using the included docking stand, or laid horizontally. • For vertical orientation, position the DVR over the docking stand.

Pairing Cameras If you bought a bundle system, the cameras and the receiver have already been paired out of the box, which means that they are exclusively communicating with each other. If you have purchased add-on cameras, or if for some reason the pairing is lost, follow the steps below to pair the cameras and receiver.

Recording By default, the system is set to immediately record video from connected cameras in Con- tinuous Recording Mode. • Recording—Continuous: Normal, continuous recording. You can set the system to stop recording once the hard drive is full, or to continually record by overwriting previously recorded data.

Playback If more than four channels are selected, one bar is shown that combines all the selected channels. This means that video available on any selected channel will be shown in the bar. 12.1.3 Using Zoom in Playback Mode You can use Zoom in Playback Mode. This is useful if you need a closer look at recorded video.
Playback 2.2. The box in the lower right-hand corner shows the entire camera picture with a grey box around the zoomed-in area. Click inside the box and drag to move the zoom area. 3. Backup 13.1 Backing Up Video You can back up video to a USB flash drive (not included) connected to the DVR. NOTE The LH070 Series only has two USB ports. Backing up video requires you to unplug the wireless receiver in order to plug in a USB flash drive.

Managing Passwords NOTE By default, the system user name is admin and the password is 000000. Passwords are enabled by de- fault and are required to access the Main Menu. The password is required to log into the system remotely using a computer or mobile device. You will be prompted to create a custom password after you connect for the first time.

Connecting to Your DVR Over the Internet on PC or Mac This DVR features connectivity using the exclusive Lorex Stratus Connectivity. This cloud- enabled service allows for Internet connectivity without requiring any network configura- tion. Up to 3 devices may connect to the system at the same time. This section refers to Internet setup on PC or Mac, for smartphone/tablet setup, see 18 Mobile Apps : Accessing your DVR Using a Mobile Device, page 88.

Lorex Player for Mac: Viewing Backed up Video on Mac Lorex Player for Mac allows you to view your backed up video files on a Mac computer. To install Lorex Player for Mac: 1. Replacing the Hard Drive The system comes with a pre-installed SATA hard drive. You can expand the hard drive with a replacement 3.5" SATA hard drive up to 4TB. NOTE It is recommended to use surveillance or security-certified hard drives, which are designed to be reliable over long periods of time while recording 24/7.

Replacing the Hard Drive 3. Using a Phillips screwdriver (not included), remove the screws (x4) from the plastic brackets on either side of the hard drive. 4. Carefully slide the hard drive back until it is clear of the SATA connector and lift it out of the DVR.

Attach the two plastic hard drive brackets to either side of the 3.5” hard drive. 4. Place the hard drive in the DVR. Slide the hard drive gently forward to insert the hard drive SATA ports into the DVR SATA connector.
