    MX-490 Complete Control Owner’s Manual Search the Database To add a new device to the remote, perform the following: 1. Highlight Search the Database and select Next. 2. Select a location on the UI for the new device. Use the Page+ option to add another six device locations to the menu.

    The MX-490 is capable of learning IR commands from another remote. The IR window on the MX-490 is narrower than most of URC’s remotes. Ensure the MX-490 and the other remote are on a level surface with the IR windows closely facing each other.
