100BASE-T Modular Panel Instructions

General

The front panel is equipped with 48 8-pin modular jacks designed to accommodate modular plug-ended jumper
cords. The pin and pair assignments for the modular jacks are shown on the next page.
The rear of the panel is equipped with four RJ-21 type 50-pin jacks, designed to accommodate cables
terminated in the corresponding plug. Two screws are provided with the 180 (525-CP) and the 110 (525-AP)
connectors to secure each individual plug to the panel. The 90 (525-PA) connector is not recommended for this
application. The diagram on the next page shows which pin in the connector serves which modular jack position
(port) on the front of the panel.
