Pre-ride checks
Attention
Failure to carry out these checks before riding,
may lead to motorcycle damage and injury to rider.
Before riding, perform a thorough check-up on your
motorcycle as follows:
FUEL LEVEL IN THE TANK
●
Check the fuel level in the tank. Refuel if
necessary (see "Refuelling").
ENGINE OIL LEVEL
●
Check the level in the sump through the sight
glass; top-up if necessary (see "Checking the
engine oil level").
BRAKE AND CLUTCH FLUID
●
Check liquid level in the corresponding
reservoirs (see "Checking brake and clutch fluid
level").
COOLANT
●
Check the level of coolant in the expansion
reservoir; top up if necessary (see "Checking and
topping up the coolant level").
TYRE CONDITION
●
Check tyre pressure and condition (see
"Tubeless tyres").

CONTROLS
●
Work the brake, clutch, throttle and gear change
controls (levers, pedals and twistgrip) and check
for proper operation.
LIGHTS AND INDICATORS
●
Make sure lights, indicators and horn work
properly. Replace any burnt-out bulbs (see
"Replacing headlight light bulbs").
KEY LOCKS
●
Check the tightening of the filler plug (see "Filler
plug").
STAND
●
Make sure side stand operates smoothly and is
in the correct position (see "Side stand").
Attention
In case of malfunction, do not ride the
motorcycle and contact a Ducati Dealer or
authorised Service Centre.

pump of your Panigale V4S requires a breather. This
