Recording

Recording movies

You can record movies on a tape or a
"Memory Stick Duo."
Before recording, follow steps 1 to 7 in
"Getting started"(p. 12 - p. 20).
When you are recording on a tape, movies
will be recorded along with stereo sound.
When you are recording on a "Memory Stick
Duo," the movie will be recorded with
monaural sound.

Open the LCD panel.

Select the recording mode.
To record on a tape
Slide the POWER switch until the
CAMERA-TAPE lamp lights up. The lens
cover opens, and your camcorder is set to
the standby mode.
Slide the POWER switch down
while pressing the green button.
To record on a "Memory Stick
Duo" — MPEG MOVIE AX
Slide the POWER switch repeatedly until
the CAMERA-MEM lamp lights up. The

To delete a movie, touch

finished, then touch [YES].

Slide the POWER switch up to (CHG)OFF.
Indicators displayed during recording
on a tape
The indicators will not be recorded on the tape.
Date/time and camera settings data (p. 43) will
not be displayed during recording.

recording folder appears on the screen.
Slide the POWER switch down
while pressing the green button.
Press START/STOP.
Recording starts. [REC] appears on the
LCD screen and the Camera recording lamp
lights up.
Press START/STOP. Recording stops.
