4.1.7.

AUTHORISATION

The function screen which allows the user to do the initial Authorisation
Procedure. The Authorisation Procedure is based on the rights delegation
mechanism. The delegation mechanism involves exchange of encrypted files.
The user uses the application to generate an encrypted Key File which
contains the data for device identification (MAC address, Device Password)
and the data on the non-erasable counter. The Key File is sent to the
Administrator who uses it in the application to generate the Authorisation File
which contains the information about the new blockade counter value, the
device identification data and the information which enable control over the
file usage.
The implemented file usage mechanism prevents repeated successful
use of the same Authorisation File. The Authorisation File generated by the
Administrator is sent to the User, who loads it with the application. If the
authorisation is successful, the new blockade setting is saved in the device.
The device cycle counter is updated to the value set by the Owner in the
Authorisation File.
The function screen which allows initial authorisation procedure is
presented in Fig. 4.1.7.1 Authorisation.
