3 Basic Operation to Output 3 Basic Operation to Output The following describes the basic operation from turning on the unit to outputting from the unit. Make sure that the output Connecting the Load P4L18-2 has already been turned VOLTAGE with [OUTPUT Connect the load to the unit.
4 Normal Operation 4 Normal Operation 4-1 Operating Mode Description R4G/R4GE series power supply units have two operation modes (constant voltage mode and constant current mode). Here describes each mode. The operation mode is determined with the following parameters. : V Output voltage setting value :...
4 Normal Operation 4-2 Output ON/OFF Press the OUTPUT switch to turn on and off the output. When the OUTPUT LED is lit, the set voltage and current are output from the output terminals. When the OUTPUT LED is unlit the output turns off, which means there is no voltage applied to the output terminals.
Page 25
R4GE series, the output is turned OFF, and the OUTPUT LED goes off. To clear the state, press the [OUTPUT ON/OFF] switch. (The screen will shift from "OVP/Err1" for the R4G series and "OV/E1" for the R4GE series to the normal one.) ...

4 Normal Operation FINE switch Pressing the [FINE] switch on the front panel will cause the voltmeter/ammeter to brightly display the digit whose setting value can be changed. Pressing the [FINE] switch on the front panel will cause the voltmeter/ammeter to brightly display the digit whose setting value can be changed.
Checking the OVP/OCP set values with the [OVP/OCP] switch Switching memories at the multi-set function operation (Changing preset values in each memory is invalid.) (Only for R4G series) When the unit is in the Full LOCK state, all operations on the front panel will be disabled except for the [POWER ON/OFF] switch and displays for SET/OVP/OCP.
4 Normal Operation 4-6 Power Failure Protection This product has a built-in function to turn off the output when the input power source is recovered after power failure. A power failure occurred in operation, the unit keeps turning off the output even if it is recovered afterward.
4 Normal Operation 4-8 -LS (Remote Switch) ON/OFF (only for R4G series) The remote switch turns on or off the output. Between PIN 10 and PIN 21 of the connector TB1 for remote control is left open at factory shipment but the logic is internally inverted so that the remote switch is in the ON state.

(common) 2. In the case of reversing the above logic: In the R4G series, the -LS (Remote Switch) logical inversion function is set to on (inverted) in the startup menu at factory shipment. When using the -LS (Remote Switch), -LS (Remote Switch) can be used with normal logic by setting "LS"...
However, the unit can output since the door switch function is disabled. In the R4G series, the -LD (Interlock) function can be set ON or OFF in the startup menu. When "on" is set, the -LD function will be enabled. When "oFF" is set, the -LD function will be disabled.
4 Normal Operation 4-10 Remote Sensing (only for R4G series) If the [REMOTE SENSE ON/OFF] switch is turned ON while the sensing leads are disconnected, the output value will be high and there is a possibility of damaging the load.
5 Basic Operation 5 Basic Operation 5-1 Single Operation Turn the setting dial on the front panel to make settings when using this unit alone. When the [POWER ON/OFF] switch is turned on, the voltmeter on the front panel displays the preset value of the output voltage, and the ammeter the preset value of the output current.

6 Useful Features 6-2 Multi-set Function (only for R4G series) The output voltage/current preset values can be stored in 20 memories from "a" to "t" separately from the normal output voltage/current preset values. Holding down the [SET] switch for about 5 seconds or more will activate the multi-set function.
Page 38
6 Useful Features When pressing the [LOCK] switch, the changed preset values are saved, loading the memory, and then the screen will be switched to the monitor display. When pressing the [OVP/OCP] switch while the memory number is displayed, the changed memory number and preset values will be canceled and the output will not change.
Only for the R4G series 6-3-1 Setting the Startup Menu While holding the [SET] switch, turn on the [POWER ON/OFF] switch. The display will switch to the "dEF" indication for the R4G series and the ”1” indication for the R4GE series. REMOTE...
