Troubleshooting

Symptoms Possible Cause
Unit will not start
• Faulty power supply
• Circuit breaker tripped
• Motor/motor brushes past service life
Motor shuts off • Motor overheated, tripped on thermal cutout
• Motor/motor brushes past service life
Insufficient airflow • Obstruction in system
• Clogged filter (s)
Excessive airflow • Filter(s) not in place
Excessive noise • Motor impeller contacting housing
• Motor bearing failure

Suggested Solution
• Check breaker box/power connection
• RESET circuit breaker on unit panel
• Replace motor
• Switch power off, unplug, wait till motor cools,
replace filters/verify blockage.
• Replace motor
• Remove obstruction
