Check method of DC fan motor (fan motor/indoor controller circuit board)
1 Notes
· High voltage is applied to the connector (CNF1) for the fan motor. Pay attention to the service.
· Do not pull out the connector (CNF1) for the motor with the power supply on.
(It causes trouble of the indoor controller circuit board and fan motor.)
2 Self check
S ymptom: The outdoor fan cannot turn around.
Fuse check
Check the fuse (F5) on outdoor
controller board.
Did the fuse blow?
No
Wiring contact check
Contact of fan motor connector (CNF1)
Is there contact failure?
No
Power supply check (Remove the connector (CNF1))
1 Turn off the breaker and turn on the SW6-3.
2 Disconnect the connector (CNF1).
3 Turn on the breaker to start test run.
4 Measure the voltage in the outdoor controller circuit board.
(between 1 (+) and 4 (−) of the fan connector): V
TEST POINT 1:
V
DC
(between 5 (+) and 4 (−) of the fan connector): V
TEST POINT 2:
V
CC
(between 6 (+) and 4 (−) of the fan connector): V
TEST POINT 3:
V
SP
5 Turn off the breaker and turn off the SW6-3.
Is the voltage normal?
No
Replace the outdoor
controller board.
Check the operation.
Fail
Replace the defective fan motor.

Yes
Replace outdoor controller board (C.B)
and fan motor (MF1).
Yes
Correct the wiring.
Yes
Replace the defective fan motor.
OK
Complete.
