When attaching an end-station to the device, a standard straight-through CAT5 cable may be used,
even when the end-station is attached via a patch panel. However, when attaching another switch
or attaching workstations via hubs, a crossover cable will need to be used. Please see the
following wire diagrams for examples of both cable types.
