The MENU key takes us to the options (when the camera is not recording). During video recording it protects the recording from being

overwritten.
Pressing the UP key starts time-lapse recording (5kl/s). This is indicated by a camera icon inscribed in a red circle (on the right side of the

display).
Pressing the DOWN key activates the Night Mode. (if the Manual Night Mode option is turned on).

Pressing the OK key takes a picture.

