External lights and direction indicators

The external lights and direction indicators only operate with the
ignition key in position II (see page 50).
The external lights can be switched on and off either manually or
automatically, depending on the daylight.
Light switch
Switch A has five positions:
0
- Lights off;
- Position and number plate lights on (*);
- Low beams on (*);
- Parking lights;
AUT - Automatic operation of the external lights according to the
ambient light.
(*) The relative warning light on the instrument panel turns on (refer
to page 30).

High beams
To turn on the high beams when the light switch A is set to
the left-hand lever B towards the dashboard.
When the high beams are on, the respective warning light will
illuminate on the instrument panel (see page 30).
Pull the lever B towards the steering wheel again to turn off the high
beams and turn on the low beams.
For the use of the high beams, follow the Road Regulations in force.
Flashing the headlights
The headlights can be flashed by pulling the left-hand lever B towards
the steering wheel.
Flashing occurs also with lights off if the ignition key is at II.
The high beams are used for flashing. Follow the Road Regulations in force.
