If the brake fluid warning light comes on while
driving, stop the vehicle and check the brake fluid
level immediately (see page 160): if the fluid level is below
the minimum limit, top it up with the recommended fluid
and contact the F S

checked immediately. Brake fluid leaks impair the operation
of all braking systems, the traditional one and the braking
system fitted with ABS.

System performance in terms of active safety is not a
reason for the driver to take unnecessary risks. The style
of driving shall always be adapted to weather conditions,
range of visibility and traffic.
The maximum obtainable deceleration is always
depending on the grip between tyre and road. With snow
or ice, the grip is obviously reduced and the braking distance
is greater, even with the ABS system.
