NOTE: If folding rail experiences resistance
when closing, grease can be applied.

- On backside of joint alignment
|
block (Fig. 2).
A small amount applied to these
surfaces may allow the folding rail
to close more freely.

RAIL
DRIVE
ADJUSTMENT
NOTE:
Due to tightness between gears
and shifting that occurs in shipping, a
clicking/crunching noise may come
from the power folding rail drive.
The following adjustment should
eliminate the noise.
1. Remove motor cover plate (plate with disable —
switch),held in place with 1/4" expandable panel
fasteners.
|
|
Loosen Phillips head screws holding motor to
mounting plate.
3. Loosen button head screws holding mounting
plate to primary bracket.
Place the blade of a flat-head screwdriver
between circular cut-out in mounting plate and
protrusion of motor. Push motor "uphill" (Fig. 1).
5. Tighten Phillips head screws while pushing motor.
Place the blade of a flat-head screwdriver in
either location shown by red arrows (Fig. 2).
- On top side of plate, twist screwdriver to pivot
plate away from rail.
- On side of plate, push plate "uphill".
|While pressing against plate at either location,
tighten button head screws.
Shifting motor and plate away from folding rail
gear train relieves pressure between gears. The
noise should be eliminated and the gears will
rotate more freely.
