INSTALLATION
CARRIAGE
INSTALLATION
(continued)
NOTES: When
handling carriage, take
extra care to avoid damaging
final limit bracket near battery
housing!
Do NOT turn on circuit breaker
until carriage is on the rail!
4. If not previously done, SLOWLY slide
Carriage onto upper rail section until
carriage spur gear rests against gear rack.
NOTE: In right-hand installations,
overspeed gear will contact gear rack
before spur gear. Lower carriage
slowly to avoid tripping overspeed gear.
NOTE: If overspeed
is accidentally
tripped, see Reset Overspeed Switch.
5.
Remove serial number decal from backing
(attached with cable tie to circuit breaker)
and affix decal to window in data plate
(bottom of seat).
,
6.
Cut cable tie.
7.
Turn circuit breaker ON.
NOTE:
For multiple unit installations,
remote transmitter and carriage
for one unit will need to be
reprogrammed
at this point.
(See Reprogramming
Remote
Transmitters. )
8.
Using remote transmitter, power carriage
approximately 12" (30 cm) onto gear rack.
NOTES: In left-hand installations,
power carriage slowly, allowing
overspeed gear to align with
gear rack.
While jogging carriage on rail
with remote, if overspeed gear
"clunks" against gear rack,
and carriage stops, manually
ease carriage toward end of
rail, just far enough to provide
access to overspeed gear. Use
a finger to turn overspeed
gear
past a few teeth. Try again to
power carriage onto gear rack
using remote (Figs. 11a, 11b).
