results, use a non-combined
detergent in combination with
separate "softening salt"

Modern, high-performance
dishwasher detergents usually have a
low alkaline recipe with enzymes.
Enzymes break down starch and
dissolve proteins. Oxygen-based
bleaching agents are usually used to
remove colored stains (eg tea or
ketchup).

instructions for any detergent.
