- Page 2 Important Information Special Rafter Assembly Instructions During the assembly of each rafter, position the UPPER end of each rafter segment—this is the end that does not include the pre-punched purlin mounting holes—to the top of the rafter assembly. Consult the diagrams below and all rafter diagrams throughout this manual before you begin.
